Dr R K Thukral
Dr R K Thukral, Co-founder and Director of Datanet India Pvt. Ltd., is a pioneering contributor to the development of socio-economic and electoral knowledge resources in India. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has led efforts to transform complex statistical data into accessible and meaningful knowledge platforms for researchers, governments, academia, NGOs, media and international users. Under his stewardship, Datanet India has built trusted resources such as Indiastat and related data platforms. Earlier, he co-founded the Jagran Research Centre with Dainik Jagran and authored an award-winning book. Holding a Ph.D. in Industrial Economics, he has compiled numerous publications and significantly advanced research, data dissemination and the broader ecosystem of evidence-based analysis in India.

Dr Shafeeq Rahman
Shafeeq Rahman, Head of Research and Processes at Datanet India, brings over two decades of experience in socio-economic analysis. He has contributed significantly to the development of thousands of statistical publications on Indiastat. Dr Rahman holds a Ph.D. in Economic Thought and postgraduate degrees in Economics and in Education Planning and Development from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.

Ajay Sexena
Ajay Saxena is an expert in infrastructure development and public–private partnerships (PPP), with over three decades of experience in policy, project structuring, procurement and financing. He has served as a PPP Expert with the Asian Development Bank for the Government of Maharashtra and has advised several central and state agencies. He has also contributed as guest faculty and speaker at leading institutions. He is currently working with the Maharashtra Institution for Transformation (MITRA), the state’s equivalent of NITI Aayog, as Sector Head (Infrastructure) and heads the PPP Cell of Maharashtra at MITRA.

Dr Laveesh Bhandari
Laveesh Bhandari is President and Senior Fellow at the Centre for Social and Economic Progress, with extensive work on sustainable livelihoods, economic reforms and financial inclusion in India. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University and has taught at Boston University and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. His current research focuses on inclusion and India’s energy transition and its economic implications.

Dr Mala Lalvani is Professor of Economics at the Mumbai School of Economics and Public Policy and former Director of the School.
